Smile How to remove instrument cluster on 97' (3ES)?

Has anyone here removed the instrument cluster on a 3rd gen ES?

Is it very easy to do? I need to replace the check engine light on my car, it has burned out.

Are there many steps involved in this? Thanks!

The bezel (gauge surrond plastic piece) around the gauge cluster should have two or three screws holding it in place, remove those and remove the bezel. Once the bezel is off, you will see four screws holding the cluster in place...remove those, then you should be able to pull the cluster out and undo the electrical connectors

I have done it as well...very easy.
Just like 03 ES said.
The only thing I add is that when you remove the bezel, you have to wiggle it a little. Have patience and don't force it or you will snap one of the plastic clips.
