2003 ES 300 Front Motor Mount Replacement Procedure
Hi,
I have a leaking front motor mount on my 2003 Lexus ES 300 and want to know the procedure to replace it. This mount apears to be hydraulic and have a electrical connection as well as a two vaccum lines. What all do i need to remove inorder to remove old mount and install a new one? Does anyone know what factory repair manual states ?
Thanks,
Dan

All you have to do is get a floor jack with a piece of wood and support the engine. Undo the dog bone mount and take it out. Then undo the bolt for the front mount, disconnect everything from it and put the new one in its place. Its easily done in 20-30 minutes.

Dog bone mount ??? Have you actually done this on a 2003 es300? I do not see a dog bone mount on my es300!! It seems to me that I might have to lower the subframe to replace this mount. The space between the front motor mount and radiator is quite tight and it does not look as if it can be removed without lowering the subrfame.

The dog bone mount is the one on the top near the coolant filler neck, next to the power steering reservoir. (passenger side) I've never worked on engine mounts, but my guess is that you need to remove the dog bone in order to have more slack in the front engine mount.
And if you have a 1MZ-FE, you don't need to remove any subframe, it's fairly accessible from the top
