Just purchased a 1996 ES300 to replace my E34 that was rear ended a couple weeks ago. Quite unfortunate but oh well, E34s are cheap anyway. I still have my E90. This is my first Lexus, I've had a lot of Bimmers and Nissans. Not really sure what the plans are to do to it but fix some of the issues with it like the leather on the front seats and the radio. I already have a nice Alpine to go into the car, just waiting on a metra kit and harness.
It's clean. A few dings here and there with some scratches that will buff out. It drives great with no shakes.

Welcome.
Curious, how does it compare with the BMW's? Also seems to be a step back.
I know you said you didn't have specifcs on plans but is this a 2nd car, third car or one for the family?

I have had 4 E34s; 2 525i's, a 530i (1st BMW), and a 540i; all manual shift cars not to mention all of the other BMWs I've had ranging from a 1981 528i all the way to my E90 328i (HPFP's are not my thing). I bought this as my beater car honestly but it drives nice and will make a good second car. The best thing about it is the fact that the trunk is huge compared to my BMW. Doesn't seem like a step back, just in a different direction. The BMW is more of a driver car imo, I definitely feel more isolated from the road in the ES300.
The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that the front bumper has that sag that I see on every other ES300 from this time.
