I own a 2004 Lexus ES330 and I am having A/C issues I could go to the dealership and fork out $350, but I purchased the do-it-yourself recharge kit to see if that would solve the issue. As I was under the hood, I noticed that the fans behind the radiator where not spinning when my car was running. Any ideas what this could before I go get overcharged by the dealership.

usually AC issues come from leaking condensors in our cars. very rarely would you have a loose joint with a leaky o-ring.

you can try recharge only one bottle of refrigerant and see how long it takes before it leaks out. if it's within 1～2 days, it is most likely your condensor. if it takes a while, then it might be the AC line joints.
