Hello all, my first post here....I have a 98 ES300 with 126k miles. It's been great. However, it has recently been making a strange exhaust noise. The car runs smoothly and quietly on dry days. However, when it rains heavily and the undercarriage gets very wet, it will intermittently make the distinct noise of a loud vibrating exhaust leak. It will last for less than a minute, stop, then re-occur when i hit a spot in the road where the undercarriage has been soaked again. Then it will stop, and so forth. No deep water, just average small puddles, the sort that I've run through 10,000 times. It is definitely coming from under the car and not from the engine bay....any ideas?

Only way to find out is to a have a visual inspection on a lift.

Probably the flex pipe has a leak. It is common.
