2nd gen ES suspension help, I need ideas
I've been wanting to upgrade my suspension and have been looking around at different options. I have a 1996 es300. I put 20's on it and it rubs a little bit even with spring spacers, plus I have a big sound system with an extra battery in the trunk and about a 50lb sub box in my trunk.
I''ve replaced the rear struts but they have the factory spring on em. I've thought about just replacing the springs with something a little stiffer, but I don't want to do that and it not work and need to get coilover or new struts/springs anyways. I've even thought about putting airbags on it too.
I've come here because you guys have a wealth of knowledge and are way more experienced. This is the first car that I've ever invested this much into.
What should I do? what will be the best. I'm not that interested in dropping it too low, I just don't want the thing to rub and I don't want it to be as floaty as it is now. However it would be nice to have the option to drop it if I feel like it later on in my life. I'm thinking coilovers would be the best idea, but if I can get a good deal on an air bag suspension should I do that? I don't know I'm just needing some guidance some support if you have that offer thanks a lot!
