hi, guys. i took my es300 for a brake fluid and power steering fluid flush. when i got the car back, i noticed on the receipt that they put in Gunk PS Fluid. i know that it is supposed to take regular transmission fluid.
is my car screwed? it had a little bit of squeaking when i took it in and i noticed that it still does. if i get them to reflush it, will everything be ok?
last, they put in something called GO Brake Fluid. that's ok, right?
so two questions:
1) Is GUNK going to ruin my power steering or will it be ok to just reflush?
2) Is GO Brake Fluid ok?
thanks!

Never heard of GO Brake Fluid before, is that an acronym or something? On the PS system, a flush will be fine providing it is done correctly, but don't drive long term with the PS specific fluid. Where did you have this done? I would not go back there seeing they don't even know the basics of what fluids to use on your car.
The squeaking is probably caused by a worn out or loose belt.

always always use factory spec ATF for PS and always use DOT3 or better brake fluid...
i don't know what fluid u got changed with....if i were u i'd buy the fluid myself and bring it for a mechanic to change it....or change it myself, but brakes could be a bit of pain

Royal Purple ATF is the best.
If you don't want to spend that much, manual calls for Dexron III or equal. T-IV not sure if it is suitable, I personally would not use it just because it is not spec'd to be Dex compatible, but that doesn't mean it won't perform well in the PS system.

I have 4 quarts of AMSOIL Synthetic ATF on hand, but I wanted a cheaper solution. I guess AMSOIL it is.

go to autozone or some other place and read the bottle of gunk to see if it is compatible
why go back if not happy? if not right fluid suck some out of reservoir, fill with dexron III, and do this once a week 4 times and should be good enuf
