Several Problems for my es
Hi everyone,
I got several problems for my es, so I don't know what to put on the title
1) Remote Problem: , ... I don't know why my remote doesn't work(won't lock/unlock/release trunk). At first, I thought I ran out of battery, but after I changed it, it still doesn't work..
2) Timing belt, water pump: I am not sure If my previous owner changed it @ 60k miles (I bought it ~74k Miles), how to check if I need to change them?
3) Wind noise: there is a noticeable wind noise when I drive along the freeway (front driver's side window is louder than the one on the right side)
What should I do
I am going to graduate in 1year, I am thinking If i should spend a lot of money fixing the car

#1 something fried, probably ur key circuit. if u got the money try a new one
#2 no way to tell unless u pop open the covers. an oem timing belt will last 100k miles. if ur under 160k miles, ur ok
#3...no way to tell...probably your window moulding is loose

Did the remote ever work? The timing belt, without a record you have to do a visual inspection and take a guess. The wind noise is inherent to the design unfortunately, the best you can hope to do is replace the window rubber which many improve the noise.
