speedo/tach external lighting
In the interest of saving the bulbs in my instrument cluster, I drive in the daytime with the cluster internal lighting on "dim," meaning I can't see the speedo and tach needles at all! I've thought of mounting an external light atop the steering wheel stalk or hub, to illuminate the dials. Can anyone offer any advice on whether this is practical, and on how to do it?
I've read the thread on installing LED's in the cluster, and I like the idea, but it's really beyond my abilities. Does anyone know of someone in the SF Bay Area that can do this conversion?
Cheers- Richard
