I want to get a nice deep sounding Infiniti g35 like sound. Id rather not spend 250+ on a tanabe system, which I love the sound of. Does anyone else know any brands or systems they'd recommend that are easier and cheaper to come by.

Thanks.

Ps. Will make new video of my ride soon!

G35 sounds the way it sounds due to the motor... Not entirely exhaust, sorry.

A) You bought the wrong car
B) If you aren't willing to spend at least $400-500 for exhaust work, let alone $250, you aren't going to get much.

Simply asking for muffler recommendations that members have heard or have personally rather than basing a purchase off a youtube video..... I.e. borla, flow master, tanabe, etc.

I don't have the wrong car for a deep tone on start up, research MCV30 and there's plenty of Jdm gurus that have these looking and sounding good.

Thanks anyways.

One can say that about every civic with an exhaust leak... When the owner thinks it sounds good.

Anyways, 250$ ain't **** for custom exhaust work, which is what will get you that result "best". But custom exhausts are tricky since its all one off and things can sound much different than assumed initially.

Personally, I'd remove the resonators to start, and make a nice replacement pipe with two ends welded to a new universal pipe so that it's reversible!

I'd do the opposite of you. Start with a quality muffler, and keep the factory resonator and delete the 3rd cat.
Here's my 01 Avalon with a Aeroturbine Cat-Back Using the stock resonator. I'm working on getting my Megan Mid-pipe (catless) installed at some point....

IF it was a LS, i'd do exactly what you said there. But you handle 6 and 8 cylinders differently to get a decent sound.
