Default $11,795 total loss settlement for 2003 es300 93,000 miles

This settlement includes 660 tax and not the $500 deductible so my total settlement check is $11,295, roughly $10,700 before tax.

It was fully loaded, they deducted $1800 for a cut and burn mark an the driver side interior door and some minor rust, couple paint bubbles and a bit of exterior scratching and interior wear and tear.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me whether or not this settlement sounds fair, roughly. Or should I fight it?

I know I do not have pictures but I just would like to know if this is out of line or sounds pretty fair and I should take it? Thanks a lot

I think it sounds fair. I'm surprised they gave you a number that high to be honest.

I would still try for more, just considering the fact that it has low miles. Most of the ES300's in my area are high mileage, and they are selling for around 10-11k.

find out on nada or kbb, and as long as it was not your fault they should listen and maybe find some within a 100 mile radius to show them that you cant buy that car with that miles in that condition

Reasonable IMO, but;

Do this. Just see what they SELL for within 100miles of you, since insurance is a business and would much rather give you less if they can! Get any recent work done? Anything major?

When I got rear ended a couple months back, they didn't write it off... In Canada though, and it's a rebuilt 01 with 135k on the clock... My shop friend told me insurance would have to pay up for all the major work on top of their amount... And I've had roughly 2.5k into it parts alone within the last 1.5year.

That sounds about right to me. If you had it professionally detailed you may have gotten 12k, but that's exactly what the ones in my area are going for with that mileage. And I too am surprised they didn't low ball you with 9,000 or something.
