My Cashmere colored 1997 has 129,000 miles on it, everything is original and she has never had any problems. The timing belt is original and she can still out run practically everyone else on 290.......
I'm going to be looking for another one soon. Stepping up to the GS later this year or early next.

Well, I'm new to this forum, and have found it very very helpful. I couldn't resist posting a reply to this mileage question. I just recently became a lexus owner. 92 ES300 with..... (drumroll please...) 332,000miles!!!!! I got it in good shape as far as the engine goes, but I had to put some money into replacing the rack and pinion and a few other suspension issues. We'll see how long it lasts me. It's definitely one of the smoothest riding cars I've ever owned!

'92 - just hit 150K.
Like a lot you guys mentioned... best car I've ever had. Starting to have some weird electrical issues though... Sunroof switch is bad... cig. lighter is out and entire radio section is toast.

ES Driver - I just spoke to my service manager last night and she said the timing belt should be changed at 90Kmiles. I have a 97 with 77.5K miles on it. The only problem I ever had was the LCD read-out on the radio -- numbers were broken up. My dealerships replaced the radio entirely as a "good will" gesture -- didn't even use my extended warranty. I love my ES 300 and have been very happy with it.
