Default Cold Air for the ES Intake Filter...

I currently have a K&N Air Filter on my 93 ES! I wanted to make sure that there more cooler air being fed in, so I ran a pipe from the front bumper (behind the "bumper gills") up into the engine near the intake. THe air shoots up in that pipe and blows onto my air filter. It works really nice, and I took some pics, I will have to show you guys. Anyhow, what are some other ways to get more air, or more COOLER air into the engine. What about some time of heat shield? Do those really work? If so, is it better to just buy one or make one. Ive seen some people make them by hand and look really nice. So, any suggestions??

the quickest and cheapest way would be to make one yourself. sheet metal works great. i'd like to put a full CAI on but the whole O2 sensor thing is making me think twice. i think the setup you have is giving quite a lot of cold air when it's cold, but it usually doesn't get as hot in NY as here in TX, so the heat shield may help, but not as much increased cold air as the pipe.
