Default 1992 Fan motor

Hello again! I finally took my car to a shop (Meineke) not quite sure if he knows what he is talking about so I am coming here to the experts . Well I had posted a few days ago about my engine bogging down after someone washed the engine at a car wash after he changed my radiator. After all of that it hasn't ran quite right since. Well Meineke said that is is my fan motor not working properly that it is causing the car to act the way it is. First he put in the wrong car he put in a SC300. So he said it needed a new Thermal Fan Clutch. Well after I had noticed the mistake I thought well if that is what is needed then I will call around and try to find one cheaper than what they were asking for the part and just have them install it. Well I call an auto parts store after I had no success finding one online for my model of car and low and behold my car does not have a Thermal Fan Clutch. The auto store kept looking and said that it was an electric fan motor. So this morning I call Meineke back and he said yes I looked into it more and it is ran by a hydaulic fan motor, Which he added he could not find anywhere except a deal which would make the part around 600.00 he said. So right now I am a little confused as to which is right electric or hydraulic. Please help. I have listed the link that the part O'reillys told me it takes. If you can give it a quick look and tell me it is indeed the correct part I would truly appreciate it. Thanks all!

Can you show me a link of what I am looking for please. I have a feeling I could find another one for less than 600.00. In some of the place I went to it would be cheaper to buy the whole fan assembly. Thanks!

It is highly unlikely the hydraulic fan has failed, most likely the problem is either bad or clogged lines, or the electronic controller on the power steering pump has failed (also look to see if the connector has been removed or damaged). There is a fan controller circuit under the dash on the right hand side.

If the fan motor itself is bad, get one from an auto wreckers.

i think you got misdiagnosed to begin with.
our cars have a near bullet proof fan system.

there are millions of reasons why a car starts to bog, having a bad rad fan is not one of them.

Well I found a whole fan assembly on EBay with the motor on it. Put a offer of 50.00 on it and won it. Now I am not sure if I will even need it. EEngineer may have been right about the misdiagnos because now the car is running right. Went back to Meineke and the guys said well I played with the fan quite a bit. The my daughter was showing the guy at Auto Zone what they said was wrong with it and she wiggled it a little bit too. Now it is working just fine that I can tell. I wonder if there was just air in the power steering line after putting in the new radiator and now it worked it's way out.

Is there a rebuild kit for the Hydraulic radiator fan motor? O-rings and such? My 92 ES300 has a leak.
