I would really like to hear if anyone could fill me in on what could possibly be happening with my 2000 ES300.
Originally check engine light came on and the P0171 code was being thrown.
-Replaced the 3 A/F Sensors in engine bay, CEL was still coming on.
-Before touching the 3 A/F sensors car was taken in and shop where oil is normally changed. They repaired a leaking coolant hose.
-When changing A/F sensors noticed there was still a leak from coolant, took back in to shop and upon picking up the car alarm no longer works.
(I live in South Dakota, so no Lexus Dealer)
-This shop referred to a different shop that could possibly diagnose why the alarm stopped working and why CEL is still coming on.
-Brought in to 2nd shop today and they were able to diagnose CEL as a wire that was too close to engine, they said that the alarm is a mystery.
-While shop 2 had the car they said the alarm went off once when opening car from outside, but could not get it to repeat.
-When you press the lock button on the FOB it will lock the doors like normal but the red blinking light on console does not flash....
Anyone have any idea? The closest Lexus dealer is 3.5 hours away, so if I can avoid that trip it would be great!
Thanks Guys and Gals
