Default First Lexus Purchase

Buying a 2013 300h. I put a deposit on it after I saw its debut at the New York auto show. Silver with the grey leather, with navigation (same as the one in the show). The ship arrives in port on Monday.

I test drove another 300h this week. I am sure I have a biased opinion, but wow it was nice. Much more power then I expected for a hybrid, and if it can get 40 miles to the gallon....

It will be interesting to see how popular this model becomes. I can't wait to get mine in my driveway.

Congrats on the purchase! The new ES' are pretty nice cars. I can't wait to see one in person.

You also may want to check out the 2013+ ES section. This section is actually for the older ES'. Here is a link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...300h-2013-247/

I really like the new ES, it looks so much more aggressive while still being luxurious. Congratulations!

Based on the experience of this group, should I buy the extended warranty?

naw ...dont think so. The one thing i have learned in purchasing a Lexus brand is that it just doesn't breaks down. So the issue of warranty is out of question.
However if you plan to have the car for short time and wish to resell it then maybe an extended warranty might be a good selling point..

From my personal experience, it will be cheaper to maintain it out of warranty than to pay a big amount up front.
