Steer Wheel Leather Repair ?
I have a 2003 ES300 and the black steering wheel leahter is peeling in two locations (3oclock and 6oclock). Anyone know how to re-condition the leather or any other advise besides ordering a new wheel to correct this problem or make it at least look better?
Thanks

If you have never done leather refinishing before, then seek out a local expert. Leather on these vehicles does not actually have leather dye, but is in fact painted. You can paint the wheel yourself which is not difficult but does require proper prep work etc.
If you do get the wheel refinished, make sure to keep the leather clean. Most wear on leather occurs because it gets dirty and the abrasion wears off the finish.

I would seek out a local leather repair shop. My wheel is doing the same thing and I'm just going to go to a leather shop to get it repaired. They quoted me $175 for fixing the wheel and cleaning up the cracking on my driver's seat.
