i am thinking of getting a 100 SMD LED for 7440 turn signal but i am not sure if that will fit into the socket of the car. its for a 2000 Es300 model.

I like Superbright LEDs to get the right stuff with good quality. As of now the LED bulb replacements are still not as bright as the stock bulb, so you want to get the brightest ones you can. The 45LED tower ones at Superbright should do, not sure if the EBay 100 LED ones will be brighter or not. The makers rarely publish the Lumens specs.

Anything that works for a 7440 will plug in to the socket, but may not fit in the light housing. That EBay 100 LED one looks like it would be a bit tall, much bigger than the stock incandescent.

I think I have some 7440s left over, was going to convert my Subaru. Somehow I don't feel like the old ES is modern enough for LED signals. If I have them they are the Superbright 45 LED ones PM if you are interested. Mine would be the amber, for the clear housing signals.

How will you handle the fast blink?

well the amount was a gift from a friend..anyways i will give it a try or might make some adjustment on the socket.
Well i already have 27LED that i had installed and took a video of it too..but i found that during bright sunny days the LED wasnt that bright @ all.Hopefully the 100smd will be brighter
I should have gone for LED CREE type bulb. Heard they are much brighter.

ooh and i already have load resistor..But its not one of those newer plug n play type tho.
