Coolant fan pressure hose problems
Just purchased a 1996 es300 and a mechanic has said that there's a pinhole in the "coolant fan high pressure hose" . The dealer cost is $472 and takes 2 weeks to receive it. Does this sound right? Of course it's losing pwr steering fluid and overheating. Is the coolant fan pressure hose different than the power steering pressure hose? This is my first post so thanks for bearing with me for any mistakes made.

it's the same thing and the price is right. it's a ultra high pressure hose that holds the pressure from the ps pump and drives the rad fan. it rarely breaks because the factory hose is nearly bullet proof unless someone accidentally punctures it.
if u are good at wrenching, u can try to find one from the junkers and they are most likely to be good since it's something that rarely breaks.

which side is the high pressure hose?
Looking down at the fan from the front of the car, which side is the high pressure? I am assuming not the side with the filter in it.
