Couple of Noob Questions....
I'm on the hunt for a 330. I "thought" I wanted a 2005 + Avalon but after talking to my local independent shop and looking into the VVTi lines rupturing and the timing cover leaks with the 3.5 I changed my mind. Kind of thought about a 430 but I figure with the savings I can get a VERY nice 330, better gas mileage, lower repair and insurance costs.
So now I'm looking for a 2005 or 2007 350 (those years right?). [EDITED: I meant to type 2005 or 2006]
Not completely sold on the Mark Levinson/Nav package. Might be nice but not a deal breaker.
Here's my main question. Do ANY of the ES 350 stereos play MP3 discs?
Once again with the money saved vs. the 400 I should be able to put in a killer system if I don't like what comes with the car.
Don't get me wrong, I care greatly about the ride, creature comforts, dependability, features....etc. That's why the 330! But tunes are also VERY important to me!
Thanks for any help.....

ES330 is a great choice in terms of quality and ride comfort, but it doesn't play MP3 nor does it have an Aux input. (Weird because the Camry of the same year has AUX).
You'll have to get an adapter to plug in the back of the stereo (w/out navigation) to get an AUX and iPod adapter to play MP3's.
Until I invest in that, I'm using a $8 FM transmitter for now .
I believe the ES350 does have MP3 playback and aux input.

I searched the forum and it seems that it doesn't play MP3 CDs. There is a workaround though. You can try using CD-R discs and slowing down the writing speed.

That's not quite how it works. You have to convert the MP3 tracks to CDR Tracks which then go from (example) 4 MB to 40 MB. Roxio does a pretty good job. This gives you the file size of a regular CD but with all the sonic losses of an MP3 track. Truly the worst of both worlds.
BUT...I have found some sources online where I can get discographys that were converted to 320kbps MP3's so that would be much better than 128kbps MP3's.
If NONE of the 330 stock radios play MP3's than I'll probably go after-market and add MP3 & Bluetooth.
