Yeah folks..I have scraping noise comint from the front. Own a 91 model Q45. Went to a local shop out here (no Infiniti place for 115 miles) and this place told me I need calipers and that the job costs 461.00. 187 a piece for parts and 60 labor the rest tax. I think they're bull$*****ing. I can get parts for 95 a piece. Watch these shops. I may give Meinike or Midas a call in the morning.

Midas will do the same thing. I have heard some bad stuff about them also trying to charge you for stuff you dont need. I was also just telling everyone the price I paid for my stuff, and I know that you didnt go that route. Sorry if I mad you feel bad. I think that a lot of places just try to get money out of you.. I think that the best way to do it is to do it yourself and learn, soi if you do have to take it in for some odd reason you can tell the mechanic to shove it. Just my thought.

Do NOT go to Midas, they are deplorable in trying to get any import cars fixed. I can't comment on Meineke, but I suspect they probably on the same level as Midas, even though George Foreman advertises for them.

On another note, I don't think Champaign/Urbana has reputable shops that can service imports. After my friend had her Camry fixed down there from a frontal accident not of her fault, she had to spend another $2k to get the steering shaft replaced. Though I tried to tell her to have the insurance take care of it, but didn't want to deal with the hassle since she's up here in Chicago now.
