Hi All,
Quick question regarding warranty coverage for my 06 ES330. I have the Lexus Platinum Service agreement. The car currently has 86,100 miles on it and will be covered til Jul 2017 or 142,000 miles.
Will using Mobil 1 0w-30 void my warranty in any way? If so, I will just stick with 5w-30. I bought the car with 82,000 miles in July and am approaching the time for an oil change.
Also, I'm wondering if the oil in the car now is too light. It was changed by the Lexus dealer before I bought it, so I'm going to assume that it's running either 0w-20 or 5w-20. It runs noticeably louder than my 98 Camry with the 1MZ-FE, but maybe that's just the VVT. I am currently running Mobil 1 5w-30 in the Camry with no problems so far.
Thanks,
Bill
