Default Es300 2002 Aux

Hi,

I'd like to add an aux jack to my ES300, 2002. It has a nav system, mark levinson sound, and 6 disc cd changer. is it possible to add an aux jack?

thanks

I have a GROM unit installed in my ES300, it provides me with an aux input, 30 pin dock connector (now useless for my iphone till I buy the adapter), and bluetooth. I don't have navigation though, so I'm not sure if it will work with an ES300 with navi. I suggest emailing GROM, and asking them or just ask them on their facebook page > http://www.facebook.com/gromaudio?fref=ts

I was looking onto that Grom unit earlier this week, trying to find out if it will work on my '98. From what I saw it uses the EXT connector on the back of the radio, and the stock stereo in mine has a connector that is shared with a bunch of Toyota radios. I'm making an assumption, but it seems likely that the connector WOULD be the same, so they could cut down on costs of having a bunch of different CD changers with different plugs. Would like to know if any can confirm that the connectors are, indeed, the same.

There are no 3rd party adapters made for the 3Gen ES 300s. For an excellent DIY try here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lexus-audio-video-security-and-electronics/269156-how-to-build-and-hardwire-an-auxillary-input-to-oem-stereo.html

Grom says they have an adaptor for the 2001 ES300, which would still be 3rd gen, correct? That was why I was trying to find images of the back of the various Toyota radios, to see if they shared connectors. I was just wondering if anyone had ever compared the EXT connector for the CD changer on the 3ES to later ones, or similar year Toyotas. Grom claims to have a unit that works with Toyota, Scion, and Lexus, from 1998 and up, and I have seen the DIY addin in that ties into the cd changer wiring, which does the same thing.
