Hi all,

Looking to buy my first lexus. Mainly going to use the car as a daily commuter (20 miles round trip)

I found this on Craigslist and was just curious as to what people think!

It has really low mileage and a decent price, so should I be worried that something is wrong?

Anything in particular I should ask. It's from a "stealership", but if I come prepared I should be alright....

Hmm...according to NADA that car is worth around $19,000 for clean retail. The price does seem low. As you've said, get the VIN # and get a carfax if you're seriously interested in it. And go to the "stealership" (LOL) and see/drive the car (and better still if you're mechanically inclined, or have a mechanic friend). Be sure to take it for a longer drive, and get it up to highway speeds to see if there are any issues. Kind of generic advice, I know. Could be legit but usually Lexuses hold their value well, so it's good you've at least raised the flag of concern.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely test drive it and get a mechanic to take a look. I will ask for the vin as well.
