Default Price for painting the hood

I have live with my Hood with Prime color(no color, just black) after the last accident.

Recently, I saved some money and want to get the hood painted.

Anyone know how much does it cost for getting the hood painted (In south Cal)
What is the difference between blending and no blend?

I can't tell you how much it usually is, since I've never had it done. What I can tell you is that blending means that they will also repaint the surrounding panels (fenders and front bumper) in order to match the factory color. It is very difficult to get the right shade of paint, so that's why paint shops "blend" the new panel with the rest of the vehicle - it's a mind trick.

Body shop would probably charge around $350-$650, depending where you go. If you were to bring it to me it would be $150+paint.

To have my 04 Es hood and and a small dent on the lower fender was about $1100. I didn't have it done, not yet, waiting for after winter. shop around to different shops, my car is dark blue, so i believe blending is the way to go on my car.

Just cause you drive a Lexus doesn't mean you have to pay Lexus prices

Where do u live?
I wish i can bring it to u .. so that I can buy front bumper and paint that as well

somehow when i was driving in Los Angeles, there r people who r driving next to me and ask me if i want to fix them.. but I said NO!
is it very risky to let them help if they ofter a good price?

If they do work at home and charge you less $$ you'll win.
Look at their work, see if you like it and then let them work on your car.
