Default Gear Selector Lights on Dash

Hey Guys. I noticed the "D" indicator light on my 2000 es has recently stopped coming on when in drive. Is the only cause for this just being burned out? Not a big deal to me just wanted to make sure that would be the only reason.

The"D" light bulb is the one that stays on the most, so that's the one that most often burns out.

If it's not the bulb, it could be your neutral safety switch. If you jiggle the shifter around in drive, does the light come on? I had something similar happen in reverse in my 98 Camry, its the same setup.

How did you resolve the issue with your Camry?
