Anyone have these on your ES steering wheel? I know the phone was a rare option. I am looking to buy them for a project I am working on, I had given up on finding a set but figured I would check here. Those phone buttons are not useful for anything, and easily removed with a screw and unplug. PM me if you are interested...

I never even knew there was an option for a phone in these things... LS back in the day, sure, but ES ?

Are you sure it wasn't a JDM thing? Maybe an aftermarket-made-to-look-oem kit?

Yup I believe it was dealer installed. The brochures of the day show it or mention it. Some posters here have mentioned having the phone buttons in the past, pretty rare though.

If you look on the left side of your steering wheel, the plastic trim that covers the back, there is a trim blank there opposite of where you cruise paddle sticks out on the other side. When the phone buttons were installed they just took that off and plugged in the phone button module. Every 97-01 ES300 has the unused plug with 2 wires in the steering wheel.

I got a hold of a button module from an older LS400 but it doesn't fit the ES300 steering wheel. I'll probably have to give up on finding a set.
