Question Which 00 ES300 exterior lights will fit on a 97 ES300?

I just picked up my 97 ES300 w/ 92k miles on it. I'm interesting in replacing my headlights because they are showing wear and look scuffed. I wanted to know if the 00 style looks cooler and if its also H7 because I already bought the HID conversion kit.

Secondly, I wanted to know if the tail lights will fit without having to modify any wiring because the 00-01 lights rock the ugly 97 tails. Thanks for any help on this matter.

I already put on clear corners and I'll start posting pics in the future.

well..my 99 has h7s...so im pretty sure that the 00s would h7s too...hey i was wondering....on your 97...are the fog lights totally clear (can see the bulb) or is it a bit obscure? Cuz my fogs have these slight vertical lines goin up that obscures the light. I dunno if it's a latemodel ES3 thing or just cuz mine's a Coach.

I know for a fact that the bulbs used are the same. But I'm just not sure about fit and hole locations.

As for the fog lights, mine has those vertical lines too. Not sure if there's anything out there... most likely not.

I don't think the halogen headlights were changed much if at all from 99 to 00. The 00-01 with the optional HIDs have headlights that have two distinct reflectors for the lows and highs, instead of the two kind of merging together. I wish I had some pics handy to illustrate this. The HID housings will probably be very expensive, but the light output using the HID reflectors will be flawless compared to dropping a HID retrofit into reflectors designed for halogens.
I would check the bolt pattern on the lights to make sure they bolt up the same way, but I'm pretty sure the sheet metal on the body remained unchanged from 97-01 (changes were to taillight lenses, grille, air dam). There's always discussion about putting 00-01 tails on the 97-99, there's a pic of it done. Once again, ask to see the diagrams at the Lexus parts counter and match up the mounting bolts.
If I had a 97-99, I would have already tried finding the clear tails and HID reflectors from a salvage yard, both upgrades I wish were feasible for my 96

For the fogs, you're gonna need the entire '00-'01 front bumper setup w/ fogs to get the '00-'01 look. The design of the '97 and '00-'01 bumper are very different from each other.

The reflector headlamps in the '97-'01 ES pretty much look the same. The '00-'01 ES however offers a HID option w/ special HID headlamps that look like the one below. They allow better light output and operates with a self-leveling computer built into the ES. Be prepared to pay close to a grand from Lexus for each of the HID headlamp assemblies

Exclamation HID's and the 97-99 ES300

I say because I dont guess...I own some...

all the blah blah blah about the reflectors and whatever if you put in an aftermarket kit will somehow be less than BRIGHT AS ALL HELL..

The will BE FINE ...fit, height, aim etc, etc, etc
I did a Do It your self of installing the Phillips Ultinon 4300K kit on the 97 ES300 on clublexus maybe a year ago......As I was told all the blah blah blah when I was investigating....
Till I just said F-it and did it and it came out fine......

Pics to prove it....https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=es300+hid

As far as the rear lights from the 00 yes they will fit the 97......
