Default Engine cover off a 97 es300 on a 96 es300

I really like the way the engine cover looks from the non vvti 3es or the 6 coil 2es, I was wondering if it could fit my 2es which has the 3 coil waste spark setup.

Basically I want this engine cover:

Instead of my OEM engine cover like this one mine is the exact same but is silver and has chrome writing on it and a silver lexus emblem.

If you look closely you can see that the bolt holes on my style 1mz-fe are present where the full cover bolts up to the engine. Anyone know if this could work? I wouldn't mind cutting it on the bottom to make it fit. I just like the look under the hood so much better.

Without actually trying it, can't say if it will fit or not. It probably will though.

Not for sale, but I can locate you one if you seriously are looking. Right now the SC isn;t on it as I have a 2MZ-FE. When I finish building my 1MZ early next year, the SC is going back on.

Nearly every single one on Ebay is $50, which is too much IMO. If your not in rush, I'd wait and find it cheaper.

Well I wouldn't know where to find one but if you could that'd be great. How much do they go for my budget is only about 1,500.

Thats a little low. Said and done it would likely be around $2500 with the aditional recomended parts. Once in a blue moon you see them for $1500, but they are normally really well used for that.

Well, this car won't be getting one not for 2,500 seeing as I will paint it before I supercharge it. It runs ok but has always had a knocking sound from the motor I've been beating the hell out of it for almost 20k no change doesn't burn oil. Maybe valves need adjustment but the motor has really high miles and leaks from well everywhere but I have a 1mz with 150k in perfect condition 2.5k oil change whole life never overheated nothing. It's in my parts car. However I might buy another es300(blown motor then swap my great 1mz in and supercharge it) after I sell the es300 I drive maybe 1,700 to 2,200. I have and keep what I need off the parts car and get rid of it.

Hey even well used, would it be ok to mount up and run for a couple years? I don't need something to last me a long time just a fun car to mess around with for a few years you know? Then I'd most likely sell it off for cheap then on to the next project. But hey go check out my black phantom thread bro.
