Default New Addtion to the ES

Well as we know these cars are getting older and for most of us, Cracked Leather tends to be a common issue (To the few people that have cloth seats damn you) anyway i've been trying to do something about my back seats for quite sometime. not only are they ripped, the stitching's coming apart, i've got dry rot as well. just an all out bad situation. worse still, I have the purple interior so finding a solid donor car is near impossible. well that is until saturday. i got a tip that there was a wrecked ES300 in the junkyard with Mint rear seats in them. Oh boy were they:

My original seats from 9/92

Junkyard seats from a car 3 months newer then mine!

I plan on going back to rob whatever else i can before the car is crushed.

Yea they're fine. Heated seats work still as well.

Cool much easier then my route

I never had luck at Junk Yard, always torn leather or really badly stained. How it the leather is it hard or still soft?

BTW, where is the seat heater switched located? Can you please post a pic?

Leather on the back seats is so soft it's incredible. I sat on them yesterday for the first time: instant comfort. Gonna throw some conditioner on them today before I take the car out. The seat heater switch is located on the center console adjacent to the handbrake. If you don't have them all that's there are plastic covers.

Leather seats look great when they're new and contribute to the interior elegance of the car. When they get old like the OP's, they have an opposite effect, an offensive sight in the car. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that as my '00 ES has OEM cloth seats and I love it.
