I live in Montreal Canada and my 2001 has it. However the temperature here today is around 10*F. Why you would want it in a Texas car I have no idea.

It's also very expensive to buy the various heaters, wiring, switches, and relays from the dealer probably close to $1500-$2000. Plus it will need to be installed, and the console cut to allow for mounting the switches. I don't think it's too practical.

A cheaper solution is to buy a seat cushion with a warmer that plugs into the cigarette lighter, some of them also have massagers. Not as aesthetically appealing, but just as functional, and costs less tthan $50.00.

But than again, why would you even need it in Texas?

Phil

It is possible. You have to be a little creative to put it all together. Stock parts are going to be unavailable or too expensive though. For example the seat heat pads are part of the stock seat cover, which is horribly expensive or not available from Lexus. The shifter trim with the cutouts for the heater switches is not available in the Coach edition bird's eye maple version. Good luck finding either of those in good shape used!

You can buy an aftermarket seat heat kit and put that in though. They usually include a simple switch(es) you can mount anywhere. If you want to get fancy and run it through stock switches you'll have to cut your shifter trim (careful it is virtually priceless) and get the stock switches and plugs to fit in there, so it really depends on how big a project do you want it to be and how far you want to take it...

Yes it is mostly hot in texas but it does get cold. I'd like to have heated seats just because its just one more thing that would b different on my car just because idk if they even came out on the coach editions and would they realy be that expensive? It also sounds like a lot more work then i figured it would be. I guess no one has put one in aftermarket in there ES? And thank both of yall for your word of advice..

If you aren't concerned with "looking like stock" it is not hard: Get a kit, install the pads in the seats, run some wires, mount the switches, and you are good.
