Can you check for continuity of wires to the Crank Position Sensor at the DLC1?

Also, if I check the IG connector in the DLC1, what should it read?

I"m trying to solve a no spark problem. There is voltage to the coil.

The Car by the way is a 95 ES300. The wiring harness has rubbed on something (belt) and has rubbed some of the insulation off a couple wires, though it's not thru the wires. I'm thinking if it interfered with signal from the Crank Position Sensor could be my spark problem. There are 3 light colored single wires there and a shielded black wire with 2 wires inside which I think go to that Sensor.

But here's another factor. I bought a obd2 adapter from ebay that plugs into my laptop and will enable computer readouts of codes and diagnostics, or so I think. The software that comes with it is kinda weak, you have to pay for better stuff, which i'll probably do. When I plug this into the obd2 plug inside the car, it shows engine rpm's changing when I crank the starter. This would have to come from either the Crank Position Sensor or the Camshaft position Sensor I'm thinking which would indicate my wiring is ok, and perhaps the igniter is at fault.

What do you think?
