Not really a feature of the car, but just an observation.
When I was first thinking about buying this car, I figured that it would be really easy to find spare parts, because the ES is essentially a Camry (big mistake). What I later realized is that even though the car is based on the Camry, it really doesn't share a lot of its parts. Also, because these cars are so damn reliable, not a lot of them are in junk yards. And the ones that are, will often be scrapped by resellers for ridiculous prices. The moral of the story is - spare parts are expensive!

@ 01LEXPL well prices are different in the different countries due to difference in salaries and gov't you know, but still i believe NYC is one of the few states with mad high prices. I went to Chicago like 3-4 weeks ago, prices are much cheaper the minute you get out of NYC, almost a dollar difference and i compared on BP gas stations i didnt even check the prices in those cheaper stations cuz i always put BP

I too noticed the lack of a "mist" feature on the wipers immediately! This is extremely annoying, always having to turn the wipers on and back off again. I'm almost ready to try a mod to the wiper motor circuitry, or has somebody already tried that one?
Also, there is no audio control on the steering wheel (2000 es). I can't tell you how many times I've put my thumb on that spot where it should be...

ah i see it now. But still the RX300 doesnt has that feature either. hmm
Anyways on the ES i really like convenient and easy way to change the rear middle and reverse light bulb. There is a small opening on each side when you open the trunk for removing/replacing those bulbs.i like that
