Default 2ES Issue with Reverse Gear Selector Lights on Dash

When I put the car in reverse, the Reverse Gear Selector light briefly works. All other gears work. I know the bulb is still good because when I put pressure on the shift **** towards "Park" but not actually putting into park it works fine.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for this? I'm pretty comfortable taking things apart and back. I just did the cup holder fix.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA

In the hood or underneath? What should I be looking for? Do you have a pic?

TIA
