You have an ES and not a GS right? If it had been a GS300 you could buy another engine but labor would be expensive. I'd imagine an ES' engine would also be cheap but labor would be a problem unless you have a friend that can do it cheaply.
I'd say you could get $1,000 for it.

I dont think i blew the whole engine tho..It's s
till runs no smoke or anything coming out the engine and it's a beautiful car just that knocking sound
Still would have to be replaced tho huh
it didn't really get it diagnosed by a,real shop but People told me it's the rod I was driving with low oil
At the most how much do you guy think I could get for it ? 1999 es300 pearl white coach edition
Would I get more if I sell it part for part? feed back please

Definitely don't drive it if it's rod knock. You will just end up damaging it more and possibly to a point where the block can't be rebuilt. I had a friend who drove a car with rod knock and the rod just blew out of the block so only the head was salvageable. What color is your oil and coolant?
If you do a complete rebuild such as machining the head and block, new pistons (if not salvageable), new rings, new rods (if not salvageable), valve job, crank balance, new bearings, all new gaskets, and etc, then it could be quite pricey. If you're going to do all that, then you might as well put in a new water pump, thermostat, timing belt, and tensioner. Factoring in the parts, machining, and labor, the rebuild will most likely exceed 2,000.
I would say you could probably get 1000 for the shell. And you will probably get more money from parting it out. But that takes a lot of effort and time.

@FlockoGS4 I don't have full coverage if I go out and get some will they do an inspection look at the car and the engine. The body is perfect hopefully they don't tell me to start it And hear the ticking If the do approve me for full coverage how long should I wait for an "accident".. Is it safe? Will my rates go up..
