Talking New Guy in the forum!

Hi everyone!

I have recently just got me an 05' Es330 after totaling my Scion tC (i know girly car) but oh well i upgraded! anywho, i was wondering if there are anything fun stuff i can add on to my new lexus like reccomended add-ons or type of springs and or coils i should get for it. I know the es330 is not a sporty car so i just wanna do some simple somewhat "vip" look or a fancy looking ride. Please let me know if there are any cool stuff to add to it. Also its white. Thanks!

Hey congrats on the upgrade and welcome. Don't know too much about the ES's as far as upgrades, but I thought I'd send you this link. This is my dad's 05 that he had dual exhaust added to.

He said it didn't really affect his MPG's, but maybe 1/2 MPG higher if anything due to slightly less back pressure. It is slightly louder, and does have a very very slight amount of drone in the cabin, but I drove it and for anybody who has had exhaust on their cars before, it's nothing bad at all. The extra pipe he added is welded on before the factory muffler, so following the path of least resistance the exhaust probably flows 75% through the add on pipe, and 25% through the stock muffler. I think all together he spent like $1200.00 with the welding, extra bumper, body work to transplant the cutout, and reforming of the spare tire cavity in the trunk, 2 new tips from Lexus, and exhaust piping..

holy crap, are there any other alternatives in doing the dual exhaust? i really want that look :P i think a 3.3l engine deserves to be with the double exhaust clan haha

When my dad got this done the body shop guy suggested he do the bumper, and then just weld a "faux tip" in place so it "looked" like there was dual exhaust. I talked him out of it, simply because here in NE it's going to look stupid with 2 pipes, and exhaust only coming out of 1 pipe in the winter. I couldn't find any other way to do duals on this car. Nobody sells a kit because of the spare tire compartment being directly in the way. It all comes down to cost. i must admit, that little 3MZ motor sounds a little more sporty than I thought it would with what I will call a 1/2 muffler delete.

I've also got a white 05 ES.

I say tint it and put some nicer 18" rims on it. Maybe some LED's on the interior.
