What's your long-term gas mileage?
I owned a 2000 ES300 for about 10 years.
Over the course of the past 2.5 years and 54 tanks of fuel fill-ups monitored by an app (aCar) on my phone:
Avg MPG: 16.9
Max MPG: 28.6
Min MPG: 13.1

Fuelly is a great way to keep track too, Here is mine.
Of course you are right BDSL, any comparison is tough because we have different habits, the ones where someone compares a tank of 87 to 93 make me laugh. Also if you are not tracking via a notebook or app or whatever concrete way you always think you are doing better than you are.
Over the long term though the results can be comparable, as you see 285exp and I get similar mileage in the long run, Fuelly proves that out most owners hover around the average for each particular car. This is a circa 20 MPG car. Natey 2 you must have a heckuva lead foot you are way below typical avg MPG...

I've been tracking mine for 9 months now - 31 fuel ups.
Average: 25.2
Lowest: 21.8
Highest: 27.5
This is about 75% highway/interstate driving. Always use regular gas. I wanna try premium, once the prices go down a little.

I use Premium unleaded. How much better gas mileage does 91 give, over 87?
Now I have an 2005 LS430... Very nice car, but we'll see what kinda gas mileage I get under the same driving conditions.

Actually I was pretty nice to my ES300 But I only drive about 5 miles each way daily; no freeway driving. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes or more to travel that 5 miles

I've seen more than 1 accident between a car and a cyclist on the road I drive to work. It was painful for me just seeing the mangled bicycle, one shoe and helmet still on the road, and some blood on the road. It's just not worth it on my route, I tell ya
Look what happened to my ES300 when I was stopped at a red-light on that road:
