Default Alignment, no car shakes

Got my car aligned at the dealership today. Now the wheel shakes at 60 mph +. Didn't shake before the alignment. Any ideas? Normally I would think wheel balance, but why would an alignment trigger a wheel to be out of balance.

Balancing weights could fall off while the alignment tech is working around them.

Just go back and mention it to them. If it happened right after the repair, they shouldn't charge you for the diagnosis, and plus it's related.

You can also get a steering wheel vibration due to bad tie rod ends, which are adjusted during an alignment.

I hoping it is just a wheel weights. Just dropped $1200 on it and wasn't looking forward to adding more.

Possibly your tires were worn out and now that you have your alignment, they need to be rebalanced.
