Need some help. I have a 2005 ES330. 180,000 miles. Car's idle is pretty loud. Even after car is warm, still has a growl when accelerates.

Sound resembles muffler going.

I was told to check / replace / clean Idle Air Control. Learned that this model does not have one and not sure if newer models have these.

I cleaned the throttle body, changed air filter. Noise still there. RPMs take a while to settle down.

SENSOR OF SOME TYPE?

Any suggestions? Any way to rule out if it is 1 of 3 possibilities. Trying to do myself.

Strange, mine too. No drivability issues, just louder than normal idle sound and a little vibration.

I have the IACV but will also check the pulleys on all components by removing aux fan belts to see if that eliminates the noise and vibration

I would think that the first thing that you would check would be your exhaust system.
