Default Guidence on Cleaning the IACV and Throttle Body 1999 ES300

Hey guys I before I jumped into taking things apart I was wondering if anyone has any links with pictures on what exactly to clean and disassemble the throttle body and IACV
Symptoms on my car. Rough idle, shaking, studdering on acceleration, Stalling.
The CEL is on for bank 1 sensor 1, as well as bank 1 sesnor 2. Both Sesnors are on there way in the mail.

Remove Air inlet tube to throttle body. Put on chemical resistant gloves such as Nitrile. Wipe out throttle body with clean rags sprayed with throttle body cleaner. Hold throttle plate open manually and clean both sides of throttle plate. Bend a small nylon Zip tie to L shape and scrape the sides and bottom of the three holes going down in the throttle body, one visible with the plate closed, and the other two visible when the throttle plate is open. Use a vacuum to remove debris from the three holes. Reinstall air tube and see if it idles better!

One very very important tip, tape the spray tube to the can. They have a tendency to blow off the nozzle and can easily end up inside the throttle body with no easy way to remove.

"Wipe out throttle body with clean rags sprayed with throttle body cleaner"
Much better to apply cleaner to rag to avoid the above situation, and the dirty cleaner doesn't pool in the IAC valve, on MAP sensor, and on throttle position sensor. .

The fluid won't pool anywhere long, it will either evaporate or get sucked into the engine. You can't properly clean with only rags lol.

Another thing to do is run a pipe cleaner through the vacuum ports on top after disconnecting the vacuum lines to ensure they are clear. Do so one at a time so they go back on the right port.

Appreciate it guys. I'll keep you posted on my cars progress. Today while I was driving the car at around 45 Mph with cruise control on, the car was struggling pretty hard trying to maintain idle and studdering pretty bad.

A bad coil would act like that, but wouldn't get better at different speeds.

So thanks for all your help guys. Cleaned everything, got a face full of Sea Salt Cleaner then put it all back together. Going to go driving for a while later to see if I notice any results!
