1994 es 300 code reader needed
I have been trying to pull the trouble codes for a 94 ES 300 to troubleshoot my " overdrive off " light blinking. It is an OBD 2 code port under the dash on the drivers side of the steering wheel. I took it to Autozone to have them read the codes for me. They told me the port was not standard and they could not hook up their code reader. I had them check their stock and they can not order a reader for me. Where can I get an OBD2 reader for it? only Lexus? possibly E-bay? Is there a way to jumper connections on it and make it flash codes like an OBD1 that flashes the check engine light?
Can I build an adapter plug that plugs into the T1----T6 plug and wire it to a standard female OBD2 port amd then use a standard code reader?

The OBDII port on the 94 ES is inside the fuse box on the left (driver) side of the dash. The port is to the right of the rows of fuses. It is a standard OBDII port, identical to those used in later model vehicles.
Since OBDII became standard on 96 model cars, many auto parts dealers will tell you that they cannot read the codes on a 94 model. The best solution to this hurdle is to tell the store people that it is a 96 model. They likely cannot tell the difference.
There is a white port underneath the dash that is not standard OBDII. I have no idea what this port is used for.

Thanks for the info . I will check the fuse box and see if I can find the right port. .I have finally found the obd2 port . Thanks to all who have helped me with this problem. I will go to Harbor Freight this Saturday and buy my own scanner to pull the codes. I will post a new thread about the port location, scanner type codes, etc.
