Default Oddball question, but here goes...

Does anyone know specifically what years that the ES had a sun visor that slides along a rod to block the sun, rather than pull out tabs/panels?

Also were there any problems with this design?

Any help is appreciated in advance and please state which version of ES.

Thanks!

Do you have any pictures of what you are talking about? That may help.

non-existent... they all have a drop down sun visor for front passengers...

The only thing close to that was the 05+ ES330 that came with a 'power sliding shade' for the back window [like in the LS series], which came an an option and prone to failure supposedly.

This is what I'm looking for...I've seen them on Ebay stating they are for the ES 3 series...but I can't firm what specific year(s).

Again, I appreciate any help with this...

I\ve never seen those in any Lexus to be honest [i don't have experience with the bigger SUV's which would make sense], but my 01 has a slide out tab that extends the coverage when over the side window instead of sliding the whole thing...

I just discovered that I have the sliding sun-visors in my 2005 ES330.

Excellent...

A few questions if you will, Speedkar...

Does the front edge of the visor go all the way to the rear pillar of the driver's window?
Seem sturdy or flimsy?
Can you take a pic of it in the car, fully extended and a pic of the corner support bracket?

Thanks in advance!

Speed, that is outstanding! You've been awesome...can I impose one more time? Please measure the distance from the end of the visor (by the b pillar), to where the rod turns 90 degrees (attachment point)? Thank you in advance!
