Replace the A/C air filter. It is behind the glove box. Instructions are in the owners manual. Likely you have some crap in there or in my case once, no filter at all.

Good luck.

Default How's it hanging

I got a 2000 gold champagne whatever es300 like everybody else has it's got a new radio in it that makes a lot of noise cuz I didn't bypass the amp yet it's got about 230,000 miles new floor mats lots of dents where my brother jumped into the ditch a few times and it likes to take me through the field and over terraces to the farm pond to go fishing. I recently bought it from my mother it was sitting in her driveway and I'm a truck driver and I don't really drive it much so I figured I would try to give it a little TLC while I also build my 84 CJ7. She leaks oil and the paint's kind of bad but I'd still jump in it right now and drive to California

Believe me it looks better at night

Timing belt every 100,000 miles and oil changes at 5,000, she'll last forever!

Default New Owner of a 2006 ES 330 with 113k miles

We purchased this 4th car for our family to be primarily driven by 2 teenagers and my wife. We have 3 teenage drivers right now and our 3rd car is used most of the time by my This was the best option in our budget that we found given the current used car market for something that had safety features and in good condition. I looked and looked and most everything in our price range of under 10k out the door was in bad condition. This was more affordable by thousands than something like a 2012 Hyundai Elantra with more miles. We paid $6800 before TTT. The car is in excellent condition for its age and drives great. We are getting a code for a catalytic converter that we will have to deal with at some point. Otherwise, we are going to get some basic maintenance done, install a double din Apple Play stereo and backup camera.

Looks like it spent a lot of time inside because the headlights and mirrors aren't showing much UV damage. Nice car, looks identical to mine.

Thanks, I agree, it is quite clean. Once I get some time to do a buff and shine it is going to really look good.

Hello everyone,
Just got a 2005 ES330, ~100k on it right now. Last owners must have been hammering on the suspension because the struts and springs feel blown or at least very worn.
From what I've gathered so far, I'll probably be replacing struts with the KYBs and do the Moog springs in the rear. I'm hoping the mounts and other hardware can be kept, have to give it a look still.
I'm getting alot of bump steer going around highway on/off ramp bends and a Lexus specialist mentioned the front sway bar links and lower ball joints (possibly whole LCA) need to be replaced. If anyone has experience with this, I'm wondering if there are any recommended aftermarket producers for these parts? I've read through alot of discussion about build and ride quality varying with which struts/springs you go with, not sure if that's the case with these other components as well.
In the meantime, I'm going to install one of those gta car kit bluetooth modules; not too familiar with car sound systems but it seems it's not just as simple as wiring in a new headunit lol

Picked up this 2002 ES 300 this week as a replacement to my 2004 Toyota Avalon.

It is a nice upgrade. I like the gray color a lot, looks great. Must have been garage kept from the looks of it and dealer maintained by Lexus of Tucson since new, only one original owner. Maintenance records all the way up to the point of trade in. A really great car!
It seems to be a base model, but also has HID Headlights. I will be repairing the rear sub soon and likely replacing the rearward facing control arms since I think they are squeaking.
