Default Will This Still Work?

I ordered the front motor mount to my 98 ES300 and what I received looks different than the item pictured where I bought it from. The one I have under the hood looks like the one in the original image not the one I received.

What the image was:

This is what I received:

Will this mount still work without the top rubber shroud? or do I need to send the one I received back and get the right one?

Hmmm... I mean, as long as it bolts on from the top, it should work.

Try to install it and see what happens?

Put it in tonight. It worked just fine. I still have a knocking noise under the hood though. I've now replaced rear, front and dog bone mounts. The tranny mount appears to be good still. I have one to replace the current one with, just waiting for more time because the CV Joint needs replacing too.

You may want to check your lower control arm. My worn out bushings caused clunks under heavy accEleration.

I took a look at the control arm, bushings are difinitely gone. Is it easier to just replace the control arm or just doing the bushing worth it? If I do the bushings how difficult is it?

Sorry for the double post.

Replaced the whole control arm, CV Joint and Tranny mount (which fell apart in my hands when I took it out). Took me about 2 hours which was nice.

Now shifting and movement from stop and go are smooth but I still have a knocking noise when turning, mainly to the right when the weight of the car is to the driver side. I know my suspension is in dire needs of replacement but thats a cost I cannot afford right now.

I think from reading that the noise is coming from bad strut mounts? how difficult are those to replace and is there anything special I need to do to replace them?
