Car runs rough.. Dies at 1000 RPM
Please guys i really need your help, i need to get my baby back and running.
Was just driving alot and suddenly car loses all power , idles really rough and finally stalls. Started it back up and it ran for a few seconds then died again.
Hooked it up and got a code for camshaft position sensor.. replaced it and it starts, runs for a few seconds then dies again.. ..Ive had 2 mechanics look at it and they are scratching their heads..
Replaced
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
MAF sensor
Camshaft position sensor
I hate just throwing parts at it guys... This makes no sense to me.. please any input is appreciated.

I'm not sure of how much help I'll be, but often times the worst problems are the simplest things.
That being said, have you had a peek at the timing belt? I don't know if it would cause your exact symptoms, but it might have jumped time by a tooth or two and is causing your rough running situation. You say it dies after a couple of second which sounds like enough time for the car to enter closed loop operation and change something to push it into dying.
The reason I suggest this is because this is something that could happen quite suddenly like that. I would think that a fuel pump and filter would gradually go bad unless something drastic happened.
I'm also not sure what exact parameters your DTC is thrown for, but I think the timing being out of whack would do it.
Sorry if it didn't help. Just my $.02

checked the timing belt ... its still practically brand new looks good.
i really thought it would be something simple right infront of my face but unforunately no.. i've had 4 mechanics look at it and they are all scratching their heads....
ill check the CAT

3 things you need to run:
gas.
spark.
air.
id look into air throttle controller, just clean that thing and see if it improves things. sounds like it chokes with no air, im assuming you are getting gas and spark.
