2003 ES 330 - How to reset the ECU
I just bought a 2003 ES 330.
I unclipped the MAF meter when cleaning the throttle body.
Does the ECU (i.e computer ) have to be reset since the MAF was offline for a while ?
Is there some sort of "re-learning" phase the the ECU has to go through when the MAF is cleaned or disconnected ?
I read that there is a fuse that I can un-plug to have the ECU reset itself.
I have 3 ECU fuses
#32 = ECU-B
#35 = ECU-ACC
#40 = ECU-IG
I can feel the transmission shifting at low speeds.
I'm thinking that the ECU is confused when trying to determine the air/fuel mixture since the MAF was disconnect for a while . . . even though I didn't start the car with the MAF disconnected.
Can you lead me in the right direction.

Just disconnect the battery terminals for about 60 seconds.
The shifting issues you are noticing has nothing to do with the MAF sensor, just the ECU not used to your driving skills.
Will need to re calibrate the moon roof after resetting the system too. Simply by holding the tilt up button until the window stops.

Thanks. I appreciate the response. It sounds like I don't need to reset the ECU based on your comment. The ECU just has to un-learn the previous owner's driving habtis and learn mine. Sounds like a lousey feature.
