amber-PLEASE don't yell in frustration.

You are probably not getting the answer you seek because (judging by the consensus of the reply's) this is not a task that a Lexus owner would undertake nor consider even attempting.

I suggest you call or drop by several combined Lexus and Toyota service shops and ask the technicians (not the service consultants). It is an odd replacement but I see where you are coming from and the reason why (it is a less expensive alternative).

You could start with a call to the Toyota parts department and find out if the part number on the back of the cluster is cross referenced for Lexus. You might post this question to Toyota on the FAQ or Contact Us sections of their web site. You might also try the electronics forum of this club. Their may be a Toyota/Lexus master mechanic that may be able to shed more light on the subject.

Good Luck.

I can see why somebody would want to try this mod. Getting a salvage unit and having the pointers fail on that would be frustrating. A Camry unit with Indiglo would be a unique look. I'm just concerned about how one would go about hooking up the mechanical odometer. The car would probably end up being NAM (not-actual-miles). I had a 94 Camry that I got penalized on trade-in because CarFAX came up as NAM, because the dealer replaced the odometer, while in the shop, because the clumsy mechanic broke it while replacing the bulb for the O/D OFF light. Car wasn't driven a mile, had paperwork verifying this, but still was penalized for a NAM car.

Dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE the LEXUS speedo cluster. Its hot! Those needles arre sweet, when they are working of course. I am defintely not gonna spend $400 or so to get them fixed, and Im not gonna spend $200 on a salvage cluster and then have the needles blow out on them in a couple weeks/months. I think that the Camry speedo would look nice with those indiglo guages. I would be unique. Anyhow, I will just have to send a message to Toyota and ask them.

I dont see why people are dissin the Camry dash, I mean, afterall, our cars are a Luxury replica of the Camry.

Thanks for the help everyone.....
