Don't know if this is the same year/model as the OP but that's pretty good as Carmax typically offers 50 cents on the dollar.

I did just that and could not find a single maintenance record it from 70,000 to 152,000;
That's a HUGE RED FLAG!!

Guess I need to keep looking

They had an 02 Infiniti i35 that has regular maintenance but I don't know a thing about that brand.

Not necessarily, all that means is that the car was not serviced by Lexus. It does not mean that a Toyota dealer or independent shop did not service the car.

That possibility crossed my mind. But the owner had done diligent maintenance and services prior to and including the 70,000 mile work........ If we can come to an agreement on a lower price AND my mechanic can verify that it is in good working order we "may" still be able to reach an agreement.

Remember, at the end of the day it's your hard earned money. If you aren't comfortable buying the car, don't!

How many owners has the car had? Maybe the second owner didn't have it serviced by Lexus. I don't know, just a possibility.
