Exclamation '02 es300 won't start! Battery fine!

This problem actually started last year. I was told by the dealership that it was my alternator and battery. I paid $1900 in order to replace both items. Now, the problem's occurring again. It started out about a week ago, and it would start if I got jumped, then last night, all the dash lights were on, it just wouldn't turn over. I tried jumping it, but it wouldn't start. A couple of days ago, it was like the alarm was silently going off for about 5 seconds, then the car wouldn't start. Is this an issue with the starter? My year old ($200!!!) battery? Does anyone have any idea how to help? Also, I'd appreciate a walk through of how to fix. I am female, and don't often work on my vehicles, except for changing the oil. But I'm not an idiot either. lol

Oh, also, can't get the back passenger window down. It clicks when I try to roll it down from the driver's side control, but from the backseat, it doesn't make a sound. I've already tried the holding the down button while slamming the door 4-5 times, and it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Check the battery cables and connections / grounds. You could also have a bad cable that is corroded on the inside.

a way to test a starter - get a long stick/ rod and just give your starter a whack a few times, dont overdo, then try to start. if it helps - time to get a new one. Its around 100$ and ~1 hr to replace if you follow the factory service manual and use basic tools (breaker bar helps).

if your car is getting up there in miles, bad starter would not surprise me.

good luck!

p.s. stop going to the dealer. 1900$ for battery and alternator is a highway robbery.
