I apologize in advance if this has been answered previously on the forum, I just couldn't seem to find it!

93 ES300

The car developed a wobble at various speeds and the tires were balanced. I replaced the front struts, ball joint, axles, sway bars, and outer tie rods. Wobble went away. However on the test drive after replacing the previously mentioned the power steering quit while I was at a stop light. I made a left turn and the power steering returned to normal.

The following day, after driving approximately 15 miles, the power steering failed again, returned briefly then quit again and has not returned. Power steering reservoir is full and has not lost fluid. The fluid does look original though. No leaks at all underneath of the car. The steering is smooth from full left to full right with no noise, binding, or popping. The fan appears to be operating normally. No squeaking from the belt though it did get a healthy dose of PB Blaster during the maintenance on the suspension. Not sure if the suspension maintenance is related but since it occurred immediately after I figured I should mention it.

Any thoughts, related experiences or advice would be appreciated.

PB Blaster on the belt is not a good thing, clean the pulleys with brake cleaner, replace the belt and go from there.

yes, sounds like the belt is slipping on the lubricant.

Cleaned the pully and put new belts on. No change.

Do you have good tension on the belt? Your pump might be failing, if everything else is fine.

I crawled under the car preparing to start the removal of the PS pump and I noticed the solenoid attached to the pump looked loose. I cleaned it off, checked the connections, gave it a friendly tap and now everything works fine.
